About Me

Half Computer Geek, half Extreme Sports Addict. I love to travel and being outdoors, but I also spend quite some time in front of a computer - either hacking code or exploring new technologies. And even though most people don't understand how someone can waste so much time starring into a screen I actually do enjoy it a lot.

Professional

I hold a BSc in Communication Engineering as well as a MEng in Electrical Engineering and spent some time studying psychology, when I was living in San Francisco. While being a student in Germany I worked as a freelancer developing microcomputer systems. Later on I spent a year in California building self-driving robot cars at Stanford University and Volkswagen Research.

Currently I'm living in Barcelona, where I started to get into mobile application development and created the iPhone and Android version of bliquo - a mobile guide for urban leisure - and later in 2010 I joined the British start-up Siine, where I was the Head of Engineering, responsible for designing and building the next generation communication interface.

In 2012 I decided to take the plunge to start my own company, Mobile Jazz, with the mission to bring mobile applications to the next level.

Personal

As you might have noticed I like to travel a lot. I've been in most places of Western Europe, lived a year in San Francisco followed by a summer of kitesurfing in Maui (Hawaii). I've been traveling in Africa and through South America, Mexico, the United States and Canada. In 2009 I finished university in Edinburgh, Scotland and after a 3 months road trip I somehow got stuck in beautiful Barcelona. Besides that, I try to get as much outdoor time as possible. Mountains or oceans? Doesn't matter - I love both. And most important: having many great friends to share these unforgettable moments.
